BIRLA INDUSTRIAL & TECHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM, a unit under National Council of Science Museums, the parent body of all the science Centres / Museums in India.
National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) organizes the annual ‘Student’s Science Seminar’ in every year. School students studying up to class X can participate in this competitive event. The objective of the Science Seminar is to inculcate a spirit of scientific enquiry and analytical thinking in the minds of young students. The Science Seminar is organised on a competitive basis in each State and Union Territory. The Science Seminar is deliberated generally at School, Block, District and State level. Winners from each School participate at Block level. Winners of Block level participate at District level Competition. Two winners from each District participate in State/UT level contest and only one winner from each State/Union Territory is eligible for National level Competition.
National Science Seminar - 2016
We are glad to inform you that Birla Industrial & Technological Museum will organize the West Bengal State Level Students Science Seminar 2016 on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 10:30 am onwards.
The topic this year is ‘Pulses for Sustainable Food Security: Prospects & Challenges’
The seminars were first held in the Districts of West Bengal where students up to class X deliberated on the above topic in all the 20 districts of West Bengal. The winners of District Level Science Seminars will now participate in this state level seminar at BITM.
